NEW BEGINNINGS
In this episode of Signals From Mars, I am joined by some of my Patrons to discuss various hard rock and metal topics. We have an international cast with Johan in Sweden, Ed in Kentucky and Jeremy in the UK.
Among the topics discussed include my recent interview with SirusXM personality, and former host of the Talking Metal Podcast, Mark Strigl. I did the interview on The Victor M. Ruiz Podcast which is offered via the Signals From Mars Patreon page.
We discuss some of the format changes to the show. New releases from Queensryche, Lamb Of God, The Cult, and Lost Society. Looking toward the next few weeks’ releases, including new albums by Skid Row, Goatwhore, and Therion.
Does the world really want Dave Mustaine and James Hetfield to work together? If they did record something, and you could only choose members of the current or last-ever lineup of Slayer, who would you have rounded out that proverbial Big 4 Supergroup?
Speaking of Mark Strigl, he recently made a post on social media where he disagreed with the Dio camp’s portrayal of Vivian Campbell. How they’ve done nothing but downplay his importance to the Dio albums he played on. Should personal issues be put aside, and look at his musical contribution in a more objective manner? Or did Vivian do this to himself with what he’s said over the years to the press?
